Ranveer Singh Unleashes Fury: ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ New Poster Out, Set for March 19 Release

The storm is officially gathering. After the historic, record-breaking success of Dhurandhar (2025), which shattered box office milestones by crossing ₹1,300 crore globally, the makers have finally unveiled the first look at its highly anticipated sequel. Titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the film is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on March 19, 2026.

A Glimpse into the Chaos: The New Poster

The newly released poster has sent shockwaves across social media, featuring Ranveer Singh in an avatar that is noticeably darker and more lethal than his previous outing. Standing amidst a torrential downpour, illuminated by an ominous crimson light, Singh’s character—the undercover operative Jaskirat Singh Rangi (alias Hamza)—appears drenched in blood with a gaze of pure defiance.

The tagline, “Ab Bigadne Ka Waqt Aa Gaya Hai” (Now it’s time to mess things up), hints that the sequel will trade the calculated espionage of the first film for a high-octane, personal vendetta.

Higher Stakes and a Grand Scale

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the mastermind behind Uri: The Surgical Strike, this sequel aims to expand the cinematic universe established in the first part. While Dhurandhar focused on Hamza’s infiltration of Karachi’s Lyari underworld, The Revenge is set to explore:

• The Origin Story: A deeper dive into how Jaskirat Singh Rangi transformed into the deadly spy Hamza.

• Mentor and Protege: R. Madhavan, whose role as Ajay Sanyal (inspired by NSA Ajit Doval) was brief in the first part, will have a much more prominent role, training Hamza in advanced warfare.

• Returning Powerhouses: The film sees the return of the powerhouse ensemble, including Akshaye Khanna as the chilling Rehman Dakait, Sanjay Dutt as the impulsive Chaudhary Aslam, and Arjun Rampal as the shrewd Major Iqbal.

The Massive Box Office Clash

Releasing on the auspicious occasions of Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is positioned to be one of the biggest cinematic events of 2026. However, it won't be a solo run. The film is set for a monumental box office showdown with Yash’s much-hyped Toxic, making March 19 a historic day for Indian cinema.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film will release in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
